School Policies

Guided Reading Instruction — Students are taught reading in small groups at their instructional level.

Special Classes — Vocal and Instrumental Music, Physical Education, Art

Uniforms — Our students wear school uniforms. Uniforms must be worn Monday through Thursday.  Fridays are free-dress days!

Character Education — Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS); comprehensive character education program

School Programs/Activities — Field Trips, Quarterly Music Performances, Fall Festival, Field Day, Monthly Character Assemblies

Special Education Services — Self-Contained Special Education Class, Resource Classes, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Special Olympics

Community Partnerships/Programs — Epiphany Lutheran, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, The Assistance League (Operation School Bell), Springboard to Learning, OASIS, KidSmart, YMCA, Sunset Hills Subaru, Office Depot

Before-Care — Before-care learning program with a focus on literacy and math (8:00-9:00.)

After-Care — After-care learning program with a focus on literacy and math (4:22 p.m.–6:00 p.m.)

Extracurricular Activities — Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Track, Girls on the Run
